We are looking for a Head Chef to join our restaurant team!

Contracted hours 39 includes every other weekend

Salary: 23k-26k

What we offer:

No evening work, split shifts or unsociable hours, year-round business.
Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day & Easter Sunday
50% meal discount in our restaurant & up to 30% discount in the garden centre

Skills needed:
A hands-on lead from the front approach and a very keen eye for detail
Experience of working in a busy kitchen & leading a focused team to deliver results
An excellent understanding of legislation & compliance
Passion for cooking with fresh products and creating seasonal dishes
Creative at making specials but also able to work to specs
Able to manage multiple orders
Professionalism and reliability
Remain calm under pressure
Good time management
Level 2 basic food hygiene is an advantage but not necessary (training given)
IT literate – working with systems & process

Duties include:
Manage all day-to-day aspects of the kitchen
The taking of food deliveries & ordering
Food preparation
Producing specials
Prepare, cook, and present food quickly and efficiently to a high standard
Monitor portion size and waste
Prepare and cook the menu with the team
Train, supervise and develop the team
Maintain high standards, compliance and company systems & procedures
Work closely with the FOH restaurant team
Using food due diligence systems to ensure compliance.
