We are looking for a Horticultural Manager to join our team ,taking responsibility for running and continuously improving the Planteria Department.

Working with our centre manager and helping to develop our team, strive to cater for every gardening requirement and pride themselves on their customer service and ability to make a visit to the centre a pleasurable experience.

As Horticultural Manager, you will deliver an exceptional service to customers, ensuring the quality of the plants are presented to a high standard.
In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you will focus on all areas of plant care/sales. This position would suit those who have already gained some experience in garden centre retailing with good plant and product knowledge.
You will be enthusiastic and keen to deliver high standards of plant retailing, will have a flexible and adaptable approach.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Working with the Centre Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department.
Presentation and displays of a vast range of exciting plants-Creating an inspirational environment that is well maintained
Good housekeeping standards across the department with accurate stock control
Delivering excellent customer sales and service
Working proactively, enthusiastically and with drive to succeed.
Ordering stock from suppliers, managing product margins and promotions.
Pricing, displaying, and merchandising of product to the required standards.
Develop, motivate, and lead the team as well as monitoring their performance and ongoing training.
Available to work alternate weekends.
Supports with the operations of the centre acting as a duty manager. Opening or locking the store as required. Dealing with health & safety or maintenance issues as they occur and escalating as necessary. Completing required health & safety checklists to ensure the best customer experience. Cash Management to ensure continued trading.
