The divine smell of fresh pine will fill your room with a gorgeously festive aroma.
Here at Woburn Sands Emporium, we have the finest top quality trees. Nordmann Firs are the King of the trees, best for needle retention, bushy branches and in a range of sizes up to approx 240cm (7 1/2 feet).
Here are some tips for caring for a cut Christmas tree:
- Cut about 1–2 inches off the bottom of the tree to help it absorb water. Sap from the cut tree hardens into a seal that prevents the tree from absorbing water.
- Keep the tree in water. Fill the stand immediately after cutting the tree, or within 24 hours. Don’t let the water level drop below the cut, or the tree won’t be able to absorb water.
- Water is important because it prevents the needles from drying and dropping off and the boughs from drooping. Water also keeps the tree fragrant.
- Keep your Christmas tree in a sheltered, unheated area such as a porch or garage to protect it from the wind and sun until you are ready to bring it indoors.
- Keep the tree away from heat sources like fireplaces and radiators.
- If you’re bringing a live tree inside, let it slowly adjust to the indoor temperature.
